Metropolis Asia-Pacific (MAP) is a group of migration and development experts coming primarily from Asia and the Pacific region representing research institutions, CSOs, Academe, policymakers.and migration-related establishments. Our steering committee members are from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the diaspora in Canada and the United States.
MAP is a branch of Metropolis International, which is the largest network of the above-mentioned stakeholders and is known for its annual international conferences in cities chosen every year by the International Steering Committee to be the Conference host. It aims to support coordination with Metropolis International and among their respective stakeholders. Its objectives include: establishing a regional framework and platform for dialogue and discussion, serving as a regional communications hub for migration researches, policy studies and program/projects resulting from studies and linking research and policy at the local, national, regional and international levels.
